Business Development Representative

*Summary:*
Business Development Center Representatives at Benchmark Automotive Group are responsible for lead generation activities in support of the company's sales and service goals.

*Requirements:*
As a BDR, you will be responsible for monitoring internet leads and providing client follow-up. You must be a customer-service oriented individual with excellent organizational skills in order to manage incoming customer leads. All applicants must be comfortable making phone calls and sending emails to prospective clients on a regular schedule. Representatives will be paid on a salary plus commission pay scale.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:*
- Answer ALL incoming phone calls and schedule sales appointments off those calls.
- Log ALL customer comments into CRM and schedule follow-up contact.
- Confirm scheduled appointments with future happy Benchmark clients.
- Post scheduled appointments on appointment calendar board in the BDC.
- Re-schedule "no-show" customer appointments.
- Follow-up with sales department to find out about appointment and the outcome.
- Purify and update customer changes in database.
- Contact customer base on current marketing incentives.
- Respond to customer website requests (internet inquiries).
- Contact internet clients via e-mail and phone to schedule a sales appointment.
- Notify necessary departments of appointments set.
- Forward ANY customer concerns to the correct department manager and follow-up.

*Job Requirements:*
-Automotive experience is helpful, but not required. Training and ongoing support provided!
- Associates level degree or higher preferred.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Inside sales, call center or telemarketing experience preferred but not necessary.
- Computer literacy, strong organizational and follow-up skills a must.
- Must be competitive with a can-do attitude and desire to meet and exceed goals.
- Need a positive and pro-active energy at all times.
- Exceptional work ethic with a willingness to learn and be coached.
- Professional, ethical and a team player.

 Job Description

·         Sales Representatives spend time with customers to determine their needs and discuss vehicle options

·         Sales Representatives commit to becoming an auto sales expert and gain in-depth knowledge of industry vehicles and technology

·         Sales Representatives must prospect for new customers

·         Sales Representatives test drive vehicles to demonstrate industry leading features

·         Complete quotes and explain financing options

·         Follow up with prospective customers and return email / voicemail

·         Follow up with existing customers to confirm their satisfaction and generate leads


Job Requirements

The ideal Sales Representative candidate must have a strong desire to succeed. Our automotive sales representatives come from a variety of backgrounds and industries. You don't have to have automotive sales experience to be successful but you should have experience providing exceptional customer service and previous sales experience is a plus.

·         Prior experience working with customers and providing an exceptional experience

·         Sales including inside sales, outside sales, or retail sales is a plus

·         Steady work history and the commitment to starting a new career

·         Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships (i.e., a "people person")

·         Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software and internet proficiency

·         Excellent appearance, verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills

·         Must possess the ability to ask for the sale and follow through

·         Valid U.S. Driver's license
